Recording of interim update on the IAIS Strategic Plan for 2025-2029

Over the last two days, the IAIS held webinars to update the IAIS stakeholder and member community on the development of its Strategic Plan 2025-2029 and to invite questions and comments. IAIS Chair Shigeru Ariizumi and IAIS Secretary General Jonathan Dixon presented how the Strategic Plan has been developed and provided a briefing on its key components – including the core objectives, strategic themes and operational priorities for 2025-2029.

• Members can access the slides and recording of the dedicated member-only briefings on the IAIS Members Extranet here. The member briefings also conveyed information on the IAIS Financial Outlook for 2025-2029.

The development of the next Strategic Plan is now nearing its final stages, and these webinars served to share insights into what is presently anticipated and invite reactions that can be considered as we conclude the development process. This engagement complements earlier steps taken during the development process including surveys and roundtables in 2023. We also welcome further written comments on the anticipated Strategic Plan by 2 May 2024 to iais@bis.org.

The final Strategic Plan will be approved by IAIS members and then published in Q4 2024.
