Peter Höfinger

Deputy General Manager and Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board, Vienna Insurance Group Holding

Peter Höfinger studied law at the University Louvain-la Neuve (Belgium) and the University of Vienna, from which he holds a Master’s degree.

Peter Höfinger is Deputy General Manager, Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board of Vienna Insurance Group Holding since July 1, 2023, and from 2009 to 2023 a member of the Managing Board. From 2003 to 2008, he was a Member of the Management Board at Donau Versicherung, in charge of sales and marketing. Prior to that, he was internationally active outside the Group as CEO or Member of the Management Board in Hungary, Czech Republic and Poland. In 2018 he was awarded Doctor honoris causa (Dr.h.c) degree by D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Bulgaria for his contribution to the development of the insurance industry in Bulgaria. He is married and has four children.
