Senior Policy Specialist in the Policy and International Directorate, Central Bank of Ireland
Fiona Woods is a Senior Policy Specialist in the Policy and International Directorate of the Central Bank of Ireland (the Central Bank), based in Dublin.
After having spent almost 16 years working in the insurance industry, Fiona joined the Central Bank in February 2018 as a Consumer Policy Specialist focused on conduct and consumer protection regulation. She took up her present role in the prudential insurance policy team in 2020 where she is currently leading the work on protection gaps and insurance reform. Since joining the Central Bank, she has been involved in various international and European committees and working groups at the level of EIOPA, ESRB, OECD and the IAIS.
Fiona holds a BSc in Digital Technology, Design, and Innovation from the Technological University of Dublin, and a Professional Diploma in Insurance from the Insurance Institute of Ireland. Fiona is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
