IAIS relaunches the ICP Self-Assessment Tool (SAT)
The IAIS has relaunched the ICP Self-Assessment Tool (SAT). The SAT, previously hosted by the Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii), relaunches with improved usability and security and will provide a valuable resource to assist supervisors to evaluate their observance of Insurance Core Principles (ICPs).
The SAT allows insurance supervisors to assess compliance with ICPs, receive instant feedback, identify improvement areas and track progress towards meeting global standards.
ICPs provide a globally accepted framework for supervising the insurance sector, applicable to all jurisdictions, regardless of the maturity of their insurance markets or the types of insurance products and services they regulate. Through the SAT, jurisdictions can conduct self-assessments using structured questionnaires and scoring criteria, aligned with the methodology applied in the Peer Review Process (PRP).
